thanksmas season is upon us

fa la la la la, la la, la laaaaaa

This Sunday was one of the most well-spent Sundays we’ve had recently! It started off with the babies making a 6 hour stretch overnight #praisehands

It continued when I realized the babies looked cute, dad looked handsome as ever, and I looked, well… I was fully clothed. So we quick snapped a few photos and got these gems!

We took the babies in all their winter snowsuit glory to the church nursery again, and were told that they were cute + happy the entire time! They make a liar out of me, acting all pleasant around strangers.

Today I took the, again, snow suited babies to the hospital to visit their favorite doctor and nurses! I was reminded that I’m so thankful for that team, for our new friends, who are so loved by us and show us so much love.

Again, babies were all cute out in public and when we got home…

The usual.

So we’ve started working on tummy time a bit more now that they don’t totally scream the moment we put them down. This is a pretty accurate photo of how this goes…

Elizabeth is usually entertained for about 2 minutes before she decides its the worst thing on earth.

Bentley, well lets just say he doesn’t scream right away. He does, however, make it very clear that said activity is in fact not his favorite thing in the world.

Sorry bro. Ain’t nobody got time for flat heads.

And yes, I promise he could breathe. This was a millisecond that his head was in the pillow. He’s actually doing pretty well lifting his head up. But the picture was too perfect to delete.

Thanksmas is my favorite season! I say that because from November 1st through the end of the year I’m basically filled with the same jolly cheer each day. I’m the one that wants the Christmas decorations up, while still appreciating Thanksgiving. After all, we’re clearly the king and queen of multitasking, and handling two things at once.

If my Christmas box wasn’t so perfectly buried in the attic (which next year will be the easy to access guest closet) – all the decor would already be tossed all over this house. But, since the box is not Annalee accessible, I have to wait until Marshall will get it for me, which by his policy is the day after Thanksgiving.

I also love Thanksmas season because we make our new tradition of a trip to Southport where we enjoy a sweet lunch at Fishy Fishy and venture through The Christmas Tree Shop!

So tag along, my friends! Sooner than we can blink we’ll be chatting it up about 2017 and our ONE WORD!
