I get a TON of questions about everything from our wedding. Apparrently, quite a few people want the name of our *Wedding Planner*.
Hint: it was me.
I won’t say it was easy. And it wasn’t stress free. But I would LOVE to do it all again.
I mean, I’d love to live our wedding day again too. It WAS THE BEST DAY EVER.
But even the planning, heck yes!
One of my favorite pieces I created for our wedding was my bouquet.
The best thing about my bouquet, is that it was made of silk flowers from Michael’s! So, I get to keep it forever! It has become a great decor piece in our home, and I love that 50 years from now, though dusty, I’ll be able to hold the exact same bouquet I walked down the aisle with.
Sentimental? Yep. I LOVE it.
This was so easy – and turned out so perfect! I used all white and peach flowers, and after trimming the stems (harder than you think!) it was just a matter of putting them all together.
The stems are wire, not plastic as I initially thought. Marshall spent quite a few hours trimming the stems for me – and we may have ruined a perfectly good pair of kitchen shears. #lessonslearned
After they were placed how I wanted them (held together by jute string) I wrapped the stems in burlap strips, folded them at the top to create a pretty border, and then tucked the ends into the bouquet.
Added a white lace and jute bow on the front, and there you have it! All you need is hot glue!
I followed the same plan to create my bridesmaides bouquets, using smaller / darker flowers.
