We just finished installing Bamboo Hardwood Floors in the main living areas of our home! The bedrooms are next, but in the mean time – here’s a photo update of our lovely living room!
Since we have amazeballs friends all over town, we actually know someone that runs our local Lumber Liquidators, and we had a peaceful / easy / stress free time choosing our new floors. We even have a flooring-know-it-all who has been super duper fabulous when it comes to the ever frequent….
what do we do here?
did we do this part wrong?
hey i think we did this part wrong…
Never fail! But seriously, the guys at the Wilmington Lumber Liquidators are fuper fabulous, and you should totes mcgotes go to them with all of your lumber needs!
I love these floors because it’s super neutral. It looks great with our dark furniture, but its just the right shade that will still look great when I get some lighter furniture in our living room to brighten it up a bit! Right now we’ve got dark leather couches, dark brown shelves… it’s pretty dark overall.
This mirror is an old one that M had in his first apartment. It’s actually this awful gold / black / brown. I (real fast) taped it up and spray painted it a pretty white! I love how adding a big morror seems to double the size of the room!
The fish above the window were made by M’s super talented art teacher Uncle – and they are some of my FAVORITE things!
Another favorite? The Lancaster County pot on this table. It’s one of my little pieces of home! #amish #amishgraceland #lancasterpa
This is one of my favorite pieces from our wedding! Wedding decor that doubles as home decor? Winner.
Pfft. Our house is 90% full of wedding decor. What can I say? I love it!
Now’s a good a time as any – for a shameless plug!
All of the pictures are our wedding and engagement photos, done by the ever wonderful Magnolia Photography!
Basically they are perfect, and if you live anywhere around any place you should call them for all of your photography needs.
I’ll add more pictures of the floors soon – we’re still working on baseboards and shoe molding!
I just can’t stop smiling – because our decorations and shelves are back where they should be!
I actually sat on our couch this morning and just looked around and smiled 🙂
… it’s the little things!
