our coastal wedding

We had talked about spending the whole day apart – I didn’t want to. But Marsh said “It’s tradition!” – I lost that one. I was constantly thinking… “I could sneak out…. they’d never know. I could just take a peek…” – Don’t worry. I didn’t.

Of course, the boys had Marshall WELL taken care of.

Who’d have thought that after the morning they had, the would all arrive looking so classy – handsome as ever!

And the girls, and Sweet baby Owen had me very well distracted. Seriously, how CUTE is he?! He was the greatest wedding day mascot!

I’m so glad that the girls enjoyed the day together. I did a lot of sneaking away for quiet time, but I could hear how much fun they were having. I loved having everyone together – none of my bridesmaids live here, so it was a rare day to enjoy!

Check out these pretty ladies! I LOVE how these tank tops came out – it was super fun to get ready in them! Whats a wedding without monograms, anyway?

This dress was complicated! I think we spent more time trying to figure it out than I actually spent IN it! Just kidding, but really, it seemed that way. And we had a TON of fun doing last minute alterations! By wedding day, my dress was WAY too big (which I kept saying, was a good problem to have)! We ended up cutting a TON of lace out of the front, because I kept tripping on it!

Who’s the pastor? Yep – heard that one 100 times! This is Todd Brinkman – Friend, Family, Camp Director, and childhood extraordinaire. Todd was graced with my wild presence when I was about 5 years old, and he’s been one of my favorites ever since! I spent my kiddo years at his summer camp, which had such a huge impact on my life! I couldn’t imagine not having him at our wedding, and then I remembered…. Todd does weddings…. A ha!

I love all the pictures of the grandparents!

Handsome groomsmen! I guess we did the entrance a bit differently. But the song was so perfect, and so LONG – we decided everyone would walk in together! And I think it turned out great!

HAH! It worked! Having Bennett as our “ring bearer” was an on the whim decision. We knew he probably wouldn’t make it up there by himself, and he certainly wouldn’t stay put if he did get there. So, he held Hope’s hand, and I’m told he flashed a few charming smiles and waved to all the strangers. Little ham. I can’t wait to tell him about it when he’s older!

Honestly, walking in the door, my second thought (first was “holy moly he looks amazing”) was goodness I’ve missed him!

And then apparently I raced my dad down the aisle… I don’t remember doing that, but hey. My husband was waiting at the other end!
